About

To help students move better in their yoga practice, athletic pursuits and daily lives. To create a culture of mindfulness & mastery through movement.

Hi Mover,

A lot of people ask what style of movement & yoga I teach. I guess you could say I blend styles and movement principles I've learned over the years from mixed martial arts where I earned a black belt in Freestyle Karate and mindfulness, to Iyengar Yoga and strength training.

I teach for two main reasons: one physical, the other, mental.

First, we need to take care of our bodies and their abilities to move. For example, my yoga and strength training backgrounds helped me walk 500 miles on the Camino de Santiago without injury, and I continue to run freely in the Berkeley Hills, (not for sport, but for fun).

Second, when you learn to focus more fully and completely on what you are doing, why, and in what way (how), it does something to your mindset. It starts to change not only your physical performance & physique, but the way in which you engage with daily life. I have become more patient, more caring and honestly a better person because of it. This is what moving better is all about.

I hope these movement practices help you as much as they've helped me. Take a look around and let me know if you have any questions. If you’re not sure where to start, sign up to my email list and I’ll send you some of my favorite programs, tutorials and training videos.

Keep moving.
